The 'Buzzi' Hatbox offers a selection of products from Biscottificio Mattei, and other delicacies from all over Italy.
It contains 500 g of Almond Biscuits from Prato, 250 g of Biscuits with Dark Chocolate, a pack of Coffee (250 g) from the Prato coffee roasting company Fratelli Padovani, a tin of delicious Montecatini Waffles from Pasticceria Bargilli (225 g), and assorted Torroncini (200 g) from the Asti chocolate factory Fratelli Barbero.
Biscuits from Prato are prepared with 5 simple ingredients: flour, sugar, free-range eggs, almonds and pine nuts, and do not contain preservatives, animal fats or vegetable fats.
Also commonly known as 'cantucci' or 'cantuccini' with almonds - they are part of the Tuscan confectionery tradition that sees them as the perfect end to a meal paired with Vinsanto.
Biscotti con Cioccolato fondente are a delicious variation of Biscotti di Prato, with which they share the same identical dough.
Prepared with only 4 simple ingredients: flour, sugar, dark chocolate and free-range eggs. They do not contain preservatives, animal fats or vegetable fats.
The vacuum-packed package of freshly ground coffee from the historic and prestigious Torrefazione di Caffè F.lli Padovani is an ideal combination of excellent selections of Arabica coffees and one of the best, if not the best, of Indian Robusta coffees.
The extract in the cup is presented with a very dense and compact hazelnut-colored cream, in the mouth it immediately expresses its body and sweetness, giving way to the strong and aromatic taste of its excellent Arabica.
This blend is suitable for all bar-type machines, both automatic and manual, but also excellent for preparation with a Moka coffee maker.
Cialde di Montecatini are a delicious biscuit composed of two crumbly sheets that contain a filling of almonds and sugar inside. The wafers are an energetic breakfast, excellent as a dessert with sweet wines, passito and sparkling wines, ideal with tea and chocolate, delicious pairing with ice cream creams and simply perfect on their own!
The Bargilli Company pays great attention to the quality of the ingredients and, as far as possible, they are purchased at km 0. All products are free of fats, preservatives and chemical additives: completely natural.
Without colorants, preservatives or hydrogenated fats.
Elegant bags containing individually packaged Torroncini, ideal for guests.
With 6 flavors, to satisfy all palates.
Torrone Barbero is a unique product. It is made with the ancient recipe of the Asti torrone. In fact, the ancient artisanal processing has been completely maintained, which involves a long cooking in steam boilers for about 7 hours. To do this, we continue to use egg whites which give the product great friability and which does not alter the taste of the torrone. Our nougat recipe includes a very high percentage of Piedmont I.G.P. hazelnuts (51%) and wildflower honey selected directly by us. All the hazelnuts are hand-picked and the nougat, after cooking, is extracted with wooden “oars” and crushed by hand inside special beech molds. Wood is still used because it is a thermal insulator and allows us to let the nougat rest inside the molds for the right amount of time. The product is then left to cool until the next day on marble tables and is collected to be packaged in an artisanal way. -
History
Since 1858, our biscuits have been baked daily and packaged by hand one by one, in the classic Blu Mattei bag.
Made with flour, sugar, free-range eggs, almonds and pine nuts, they do not contain preservatives, animal fats or vegetable fats.
In 2013, the new recipe with dark chocolate was added to the traditional recipe of the Almond Biscuits of Prato.
In June 2019, the Biscottificio Mattei obtained the registration for the Single Color trademark for its Blue bags; an important and rare recognition that definitively attributes to this historic packaging its uniqueness and belonging to the ancient Biscottificio.
Now all our biscuits are packaged with the Blu Mattei package, with elements of different colors that distinguish the different flavor.
Since the early 1900s, under the loggias of Piazza del Comune in Prato, in the coffee, tobacco and spice shop, the Padovani family has been selling its precious coffee blends.
The Bargilli company was founded way back in 1936 when Orlando, the founder, decided to embrace the profession of pastry chef by taking over the laboratory of a family of Bohemian Jews. Thus from the curious and original reinterpretation of a traditionally Nordic wafer, the current Cialda di Montecatini was born.
The Davide Barbero company has crossed the history of Asti since 1838 with his family, marking it positively for 7 generations.
On November 16, 2015, Davide and his partner Federica gave birth to their firstborn Filippo, the youngest witness of this fortunate and “very sweet” story that has ancient roots but constantly looks to the future. -
