• Description

  Prato Biscuits - also commonly known as almond cantucci or cantuccini - are baked every day by our Biscuit Factory since 1858 and are part of the Tuscan confectionery tradition that sees them as a perfect end meal in combination with Vinsanto.
  
  This tin was conceived and designed by Simone Massoni, a talented Florentine illustrator, and 'tells a story' of a journey through our laboratory with images. Contains 300g Prato Biscuits.
  
  Prepared with only 5 simple ingredients: flour, sugar, free-range eggs, almonds and pine nuts, they do not contain preservatives, animal fats or vegetable fats.
  
  Recommended pairings:
  - for end meal in addition to the classic Vin Santo, perfect also with soft grappa
  - for a small snack, with coffee or cappuccino
  
  Once opened, store in a cool and dry place in the same tightly closed package.
  
  Our biscuits are packed in a paper bag lined with aluminum foil, specially designed to ensure the best possible preservation of their freshness and quality. They have a shelf life of 12 months from the date of production. The best before date and batch number are printed on the bottom of the bag. We always ship our biscuits as freshly baked as possible.

• History

  Since 1858 our biscuits have been baked daily and packed one by one by hand in the classic Blu Mattei bag.
  
  Biscuit tins are traditionally used for better preservation of biscuits; The biscuit factory has been offering them since the last century, not only for storing biscuits, but also as reusable containers.
  
  This biscuit tin is the second one conceived and designed by Simone Massoni, a talented Florentine illustrator together with his wife Ilaria Falorsi, and represents the magic of museums, shows the curious expressions of customers portrayed in our small Bottega Museum in Florence, a beautiful city for relics, legends and fantasy.
