• Description

  Prato Biscuits - also commonly known as almond cantucci or cantuccini - are part of the Tuscany confectionery tradition and are perfect after a meal paired with Vinsanto.
  Dark Chocolate Biscuits are a delicious variety of the Biscotti di Prato flavor, with which they share the same identical dough.
  
  This Biscuit tin with illustrations by Simone Massoni and Ilaria Falorsi is the sixth opera for the Mattei Biscuit Factory by the talented Florentine illustrators and contains a 125g pack of Chocolate Biscuits.
  
  Prepared with just 4 simple ingredients: flour, sugar, dark chocolate and free-range eggs. They do not contain preservatives, animal fats or vegetable fats.
  
  Recommended pairings:
  - at the end of a meal with Porto, Marsala, or Sherry
  - as a snack or for breakfast with coffee or tea, cappuccino, fruit juice
  
  Once opened, store in a cool and dry place in the same tightly closed package.

• History

  Since 1858 our biscuits have been baked daily and packed one by one by hand in the classic Blu Mattei bag.
  
  In 2013, a new recipe with dark chocolate was added to the traditional recipe of Prato Almond Biscuits.
  
  Biscuit tins are traditionally used to improve preservation of biscuits; The Biscuit Factory has been offering them since the last century, not only for storing biscuits, but also as reusable containers.
  
  It has been on sale since 2022 and stocks are running out.
