• Description

  The 'Natale Tris' biscuit tin offers an assortment of biscuits from the Antonio Mattei biscuit factory. The biscuit tin has been created for the first time in 2024 by the talented Florentine illustrators Simone Massoni and Ilaria Falorsi.
  The great classic of Tuscan tradition: the Prato biscuit (also called 'Cantuccio' or 'Cantuccino' with almonds) and the new versions of the Dark Chocolate biscuit (since 2013) and the Pistachio and Almond biscuit (since 2017).
  The flavor variant with IGP Piedmont hazelnuts is temporarily NOT available.
  It contains a 250 g pack of Prato biscuits, a 250 g pack of Dark Chocolate biscuits and a 250 g pack of Pistachio and Almond biscuits.

  The Christmas Biscuit Tin captures the enchantment of Christmas Eve, when the silent snow envelops everything in a quiet embrace, creating a magical and emotional atmosphere that anticipates the celebrations. It is designed to be reused as a container for objects, perhaps Christmas ones, given the theme illustrated on the outside; for example, you can store tree baubles, party game cards and the most precious decorations.
  
  The Prato biscuits are prepared with flour, sugar, free-range eggs, almonds and pine nuts, and do not contain preservatives, animal fats or vegetable fats.
  
  The Biscuits with Dark Chocolate and the Biscuits with Pistachios and Almonds are made with the same dough as the Biscuits of Prato (flour, sugar, free-range eggs), but instead of almonds and pine nuts, fine drops of dark chocolate (85% Cocoa) are added, or a very colourful variety of Pistachios together with the traditional Almonds.

• History

  The Christmas Biscuit Tin, created in 2024 for the Antonio Mattei Biscuit Factory, is the result of the talent of illustrators Simone Massoni and Ilaria Falorsi. This is the first biscuit tin dedicated to Christmas, designed not only to house traditional biscuits, but also other similar products. Furthermore, it is designed to be reused in homes as a container for precious objects.
  
  Since 1858, Biscuits from Prato have been baked daily and packaged by hand one by one, in the classic Blu Mattei bag.
  Prepared with flour, sugar, free range eggs, almonds and pine nuts, they do not contain preservatives, animal fats or vegetable fats.
  
  The Dark Chocolate Biscuits left our oven for the first time in 2013, and those with Pistachio and Almonds in 2017; these are also packaged by hand one by one, originally the first in the red bag, and the second in the green bag (pistachio). Since 2019 the version with Chocolate is packaged in the Blu Mattei bag with the Red label, and the version with Pistachios and Almonds in the Blu Mattei bag with the Green label.
  
  In fact, in June 2019, the Biscottificio Mattei Blu bags were officially registered and trademarked as a Unique Color; an important and rare award that definitively gives this historic packaging its uniqueness and belonging to the historic biscuit factory.
  Now all our Biscuits are packaged with the Blu Mattei bag, with elements of different colors that distinguish the different flavors.
