Description
Soft sponge cake made with almond flour, free-range eggs, 22% of 60% dark chocolate, butter and sugar.
Does not contain wheat flour.
Just like a homemade cake, it is best enjoyed within the first few days of production and in any case within the recommended dates.
Recommended pairings:
- Ideal if served with whipped cream, black cherries

History
This delicious take on the Caprese cake comes from the recipe book of 'Aunt Sandra', part of the Neapolitan branch of the Pandolfini family.
Francesco and his son Pablo worked on the measurements and processing steps in order to adapt the homemade recipe to the standards of the Antonio Mattei biscuit factory. Our Chocolate Cake is on sale in shops from 8 September 2023. -
Ingredients
EGGS, ALMONDSflour, (22%) dark chocolate chips with a minimum of 60% cocoa (cocoa, sugar, cocoa butter, emulsifer: rapeseed lecithin; Bourbon vanilla pod), BUTTER, sugar, rum, raising agent (disodium diphosphate, sodium bicarbonate, soft WHEAT starch).
May contain traces of GLUTEN, SOY, MUSTARD, PEANUTS and other NUTS (PISTACHIOS, HAZELNUTS). -
